Italian Meatloaf

Ordinary ground beef becomes extraordinary comfort food when mixed with mozzarella cheese and a blend of savory vegetables. Pick one of our tomato sauces (we love the roasted garlic) and spoon it over slices of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and buttered green beans.
Rao's Homemade
Ingredients

1/2 peeled yellow Onion

1 peeled, roughly chopped Carrot

1 roughly chopped stalk Celery

1 cup Button Mushrooms

1 red, seeded, roughly chopped Bell Pepper

1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef

2 Eggs
-
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella

1 cup Breadcrumbs

1 cup, heated Rao’s Homemade® Marinara Sauce

To taste Salt

To taste Pepper
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°.
In a food processor, add the onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms and bell pepper and pulse on high until it is finely minced.
Add the processed mixture to a bowl along with the ground beef, eggs, cheeses, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper and mix thoroughly until combined.
Transfer the mixture to an 8 x 4 loaf pan and pack it in.
Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until cooked throughout.
Finish by pouring the heated Rao’s Homemade® Marinara Sauce or Rao’s Homemade® Roasted Garlic Sauce on top.
