Preheat the oven to 500º F.
Stretch the dough out into a 12-inch circle onto a pizza pan.
TIP: sprinkle some cornmeal under the pizza to ensure that they don’t stick and the crust is crispy.
Spread Rao’s Homemade® Pizza Sauce over the dough.
Sprinkle with the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Top with the mozzarella slices, and space 5 basil leaves evenly around the surface.
Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
Slice and serve.
To Make Your Own Pizza Dough
1⅔ cups bread flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp salt
¾ cup ice water
1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
Mix ingredients in mixer or food processor until thoroughly combined. Remove and place in a bowl; cover with a towel. Let rise for 2 hours, or until dough has doubled in size.
Roll out and place on oiled sheet pan and allow to rise for another 1/2 hour.
