A Neapolitan classic, celebrating the colors of the Italian flag. Our deeply flavorful homemade pizza sauce is the foundation for soft mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and fresh basil. Make it easy with store-bought crust, or make your own using our tried-and-true recipe.
Preheat the oven to 500º F.
Stretch the dough out into a 12-inch circle onto a pizza pan.
TIP: sprinkle some cornmeal under the pizza to ensure that they don’t stick and the crust is crispy.
Spread Rao’s Homemade® Pizza Sauce over the dough.
Sprinkle with the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Top with the mozzarella slices, and space 5 basil leaves evenly around the surface.
Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
Slice and serve.
